Trick Or Treat, Smell My Feet

I am not sure how I ever did it as a kid. How was I able to wait until it was dark enough outside to go trick or treating? Lily was definitely finding it hard to wait, but I told her we had to get a lot done before we could go. Like carve pumpkins...

and take pictures...

Lots of pictures! Lily was enjoying posing for me...

Of course Sophia spoke up and had to get her picture taken as well...
Then back to my little model...

Then Lily turned her attention to the pumpkin carving she wanted...
GROVER...
Then Joe finished Sissy's pumpkin, Ernie...
Once the pumpkins were carved and their tummies were full, it was time to transform into Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion...

Once all of our friends arrived, it was finally time to go trick or treating under the light of a full moon...
The girls were very eager to fill their bags with candy...
including Sophia who watched as each piece dropped in...
Our FEARLESS one...
Next stop, Bip's house...

Dorothy, Mr. Bo Peep and Bat girl...
and the sleepy little lion and sheep...
It didn't take long for the lion's mane to come off...
One last stop...
Once home, Lily couldn't wait to get into her candy...
But instead, we treated them to Halloween Krispy Kreme donuts. I was told it was a tradition and who am I to break tradition???

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Hello Kitty Cat

At the beginning of October, I found a really cute Hello Kitty Halloween shirt. Jen found some even cuter fabric and made these matching skirts for the girls...
The girls were very happy with them and obliged me by taking pictures...
Sophia even allowed a bow to be put in her hair...

for a little while at least...

It's so nice to have a crafty friend. Thanks Jen!

Spooky Little Party

Jen got the crazy idea very early on that she wanted to have a Halloween party and I was more than happy to help her with it. I knew it would be one more opportunity to let the girls dress up and Jen simply had such great ideas.

On the day of the party, I got there early to help set things up and Lily and Olive got some extra time to play together...
I was excited to see how "SPOOKY" Jen had made everything...

Even Joe got involved...
while Jen and I had a photo op...
We had almost finished setting up for the party. Crafts were set out, cookies and frosting were made, snacks were put together and apples were put in the bucket of water for bobbing fun. Looking back in hindsight, maybe we put the apples in a little too early because this is what I saw just minutes later...
OOPS! BUSTED!!!

The girls, all four of them, decided it would be fun to take a bite out of each apple and put it back in the bucket of water...
This is what we ended up with...
Sophia still couldn't resist...
and continued to eat "MO"...

Once the apple shenanigans were complete, it was time for Joe to get started at his pumpkin carving station...

You do a fine job sweetie!

Getting crafty...
Getting candy...
Decorating cookies...

Pinata Time!!!!!

As the party was winding down, we had to get a picture of all the kids...

Lots of fun and lots of smiles, and in Sophia's case, lots of sugar! What a party!!!
