Halloween, Halloween, Trick or Treat

With the weather being as warm as it has the past few weeks, it has felt more like summer than fall.  But fall it must be because today is Halloween...
Jakson and Riley came by to show us their fun costumes...
Tyler came by dressed as Bumblebee from Transformers and was going to be Lily and Sophia's personal protector...
Lily was supposed to be Jessie tonight, but after discovering that Ditado made her something else, she made a last minute costume change...
WONDER WOMANNNNN...
Joe and I dressed in orange and black for the occasion.  I went as an avid baseball fan and Joe went as a bandwagon jumper (he is a Cubs fan after all)...
Sissy stuck with her Alice costume...
Along the way, we ran into another superhero friend, Batgirl (a.k.a. Ava)...
Wonder Woman using her muscles to lift her heavy candy bag...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Can You Dig It??

Five years we have been in our house now and we always put off doing anything too extravagant out front with the hope that we wouldn't be here for very long.  But regardless if we are here for two more days or two more years (lord help me), something had to be done.

Step one was to pull out all of the plants, both the dead and the living...
Looking better already.  Seriously, this is already a major improvement...
Embarrassed by the "before" pictures, but looking forward to the "after" shots.

Don't Stop Believin'

As a serious baseball fan, I have had a lot to be excited about in the past few weeks.  When it comes to rooting for a baseball team, I have always chosen one team and stood by them through both winning seasons and their many losing seasons.

This year, however, they have given us faithful fans something to cheer for and have repaid us in a most excellent way...

and tonight I get to watch them in game one of the...
It will be two underdog teams facing off...
VS.

and I just hope the Giants can bring it all home.

Tonight, this household is rooting for the Halloween team (as Lily refers to them).

GO GIANTS!
Don't Stop Believing!

Low-key Fun

Fun and games and candy were on tap for tonight.  So the girls transformed into Alice...
and Jessie...
and took advantage of the library's free fall carnival...
They had all of the normal activities that the girls love so much...
and discovered some new games, like the ring toss...
and Whac-a-Mole...
and fishing for candy...
This low key night was perfect for my little characters.
