In a short span of time, Lily has gone from scribbling on paper to drawing.

I must admit, it took me by surprise to see what my creative little girl could do...

From Baby to Big Girl

I am taking on another home improvement project.

In the next few weeks, 

I will be focusing on the girl's bedroom...

The paint on the walls will remain the same, but there will be a new curtain...

There will be new room accessories...

Some serious de-cluttering will take place... 

There will be new artwork...

A new bedspread is definitely a must...

This one's a biggie.

There will also be new floors.

They will be wood...

I am so looking forward to the next few weeks when I update this baby room into a big girl's room.

The Human Zamboni

Yesterday's weather  brought Arkansas quite a bit of snow.

It was enough to enable us to use the hill in the backyard as a sledding slope...

The snow was quite powdery.

It took a couple trips down the hill by me to help pack it down.

My mom kept referring to me as the "Human Zamboni".

It worked though...

By the way, did I mention that our "sled" was in fact a bin lid?

Mark this day down as one of the best...EVER!

Chill Out

We knew it was coming.

The big snow storm was headed our way.

Good thing we were prepared for it.

Because down it came...

With so much snow on the ground, 

there was no chance of the girls just staying indoors watching it.

They longed to be IN it...

But I'd rather stay inside...

So Ditado pulled on Joe's boots and braved the cold to be with the girls...

They had a great time...

For as much as he hates the cold, I think my dad even enjoyed himself...

Moments like these will always be remembered.

Who Needs a Mall?

All this nasty weather may have kept me from the malls,

but I have since found a new best friend.
