The Fountain

There is this fountain.
Actually, there are two.
They are these tall towers with faces that change expressions.
Every once in a while, water comes pouring out of the fountains.
They are really neat and a great way for the kids to cool off when the weather warms up.
That's where we went this afternoon...

The girls put on their suits and stepped into the very cold water...

You know it's cold when it takes Lily a while to warm up to the idea of being in it...

Sophia was happy just splashing around.
Lily was the brave one today.
She gathered with the crowd and stood under the water as it came streaming out...

Someone was a little cold...

The girls played for a bit while we all kept our feet dry and warm on the side...

Sophia had had enough of the cold water and was ready to dry off...

Lily went in for one last water shot...

Then happily ran to the warm, dry towel that awaited her.

Chocolate Shakes and Silly Faces

Ever have a day that's a little crazy...

Well that's how today was.
It was a little hot and overcast.
After spending time shopping indoors, we sat outside for a little break...

We treated ourselves to something sweet and rich...

The sugar made Lily do silly things...

Joe wasn't in the mood for a picture...

Maybe he could have used a little sip of what Lily was having.
