What Did the Bunny Bring?

It's Easter morning.

Aside from the bunny bringing home the best Easter gift,

a visit from daddy,

He also brought baskets full of goodies...

He also hid all of the colorful eggs throughout the house...

and outside as well...

That tricky bunny also hid some cascarones...

An Egg of a Different Color

Plastic eggs are fun.

But coloring fresh eggs is even better...

For the first year, the girls stuck to one color per egg...

And then used a variety of stickers for decoration...

See.
Choosing one color means no brownish green eggs in the bunch...

Awesome job girls!

Plastic Egg Free for All

Egg hunts are popping up everywhere in Little Rock.

But we chose to join some friends for their annual neighborhood egg hunt...

We arrived early, which meant extra time to play on the playground...

Then the kids lined up by age...

When the horn blared, it was an egg free for all.
Lily got going so quick that an egg tripped her up...

While Sophia chose the more lackadaisical approach...

There really was no reason to hurry...

Because there were plenty of plastic eggs for everyone...

Then the Easter Bunny arrived.
Lily was the only one willing to get close to him...

Daddy gathered his chickens...

and we headed back to the farm to color the real eggs.

Little Bunny Foo Foo

The preschool class are going on an egg hunt.

All of the parents chipped in and brought candy filled eggs for the little ones to hunt.

We had a lot of great places to "hide" them from the kids...

Before they could hunt, they were turned into rabbits.
Here is my own Little Bunny Foo Foo...

Some of the less aggressive kids got a head start...

And all of them were successful in filling their baskets...

Then we lined them up to experience a real treat.
Cascarones...

Cascarones are a Mexican tradition.
You hollow out eggs and fill them with confetti.
Then you smash them over people's heads.
Or you smash them over your own head...

What a festive way to end a super Easter celebration!
