Lake Tahoe

On the road again.

I guess we never really sit still.

But it's summer and we are on vacation.

This time our travels brought us to Lake Tahoe for some fun in the sun on the beach...

Day one was spent on the beach.
Day two was a little cooler, so it was spent on shore...

Lake Tahoe never seems to disappoint.

8 months

Today you are 8 months.

I didn't carry your monthly stickers with me on the trip.

I am starting to regret that decision.

As with every passing month, you do more and more.

Just when I think it can't be possible, you get sweeter and cuter.

You are such a happy baby and a perfect traveler.

As long as you aren't in the car.

But even that is getting better.

This month you got sick for the first time.

You have had a few runny noses here and there, but this time you had a super high fever (103.8).

You had an ear infection.

After your fevers broke, you ended up with a rash all over.

Turns out you had Roseola.

No fun!

On the day you turned 8 months, you learned a new trick.

It's my favorite so far...

More food was tried.
More happy baths were taken.
More smiles were given.
More giggles emerged.

Everyday spent with you gets better and better.

Water Park

It's amazing how much my mom's neighborhood has in regards to fun places for kids to play.
This park is just a mile away from her house and is so much more than any park I am used to.

They have your normal baby swings...

They have these super neat rocking swings...

One of the coolest features (no pun intended) is the mini water park they have to let sweaty kids cool off...

And the bonus feature is a ton of shade where you can sit and still easily watch your kiddos as they play.
It makes for an ideal spot to sit back and kick up your feet...

Park at Dark

Being a half block away from the park definitely has it's advantages.

Like late evening walks to blow off some steam...

Parks.
Pure entertainment for all ages.

Backyard Hangout

We don't always have to be on the go.

Sometimes it's nice to just pull up a chair and hang out in the backyard...

Simple things.

CousinTime

Instead of just a 2 hour visit, we stayed the night in the Bay to spend some quality time with my favorite cousins and their newest baby cousin additions...

I remember when you were that tiny.
Look at you now little stinker...

I loved getting a chance to bond with these precious babies.
