11 months

Today precious one, you are 11 months old.
You ooze with cuteness and I can't stop kissing you.
That's what we mamas do, we smother our little ones with love.

Every moment you warm my heart.
But this month it became even more warm and fuzzy with your utterance of one special word.
Mama.

You enjoy being entertained and also love to do the entertaining.
We are all a very willing and captive audience for you.
You always find a way to reward us for the constant attention.
This month you really took to clapping.
You do it most often when it is accompanied with the phrase "Yay Maddie!"
Along with clapping, you love to gives high 5's.
You have started imitating animal sounds.
There is nothing more adorable than your response to the question, "What does a cow say?"
"Booooo"

You have also not slowed down on your mobility.
You cruise along all of the furniture.
You have become more in control of your body, so you can squat down to sit rather than just falling down.
This little skill keeps you from bug spills.

You also showed me this month that you were going to do things your way and not necessarily the way things are supposed to happen.
This month you got another tooth.
It's your third one.
The book says that this third tooth should be up top.
But you have just continued with the trend of getting your bottom chompers.

Here you are at month 11...
Every day with you just gets better.

Star Student

Somebody special was chosen as Star Student this week...
I am so proud of how hard she works and how well behaved she is at school.
She definitely deserves to be star student every week.

Family Day 2013

It's a zoo out there.
And that's exactly where we want to be.
It's Family Day for Joe's work and we are piled up and ready for some monkey business.
Someone got really smart this year and made family day in November and not August.
Did I mention Joe was in charge of family day this year?
Could be the reason we aren't having to battle the sweltering heat.

I was excited to go to the zoo.
I knew two other little monkeys who were also excited...
Maddie was happy Ditado could join us...
Not sure what, or who, she was looking at, Maddie was very confused...
But she did like when this little monkey began to groom her...
Family day, in November, at the zoo, in cool weather was the perfect way to celebrate those most important to us.
