Mini Puppeteers

Box decorated?  Check.  Puppets made? Check.  Three o'clock showtime?  Check.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the much anticipated debut of Puppet Theater.  Presented to you today by Liliana Murphy...
"Once upon a time, there was a princess and she lived happily ever after.  The end."

After Lily's stellar storytelling, it was Sophia's turn...
She had no interest in telling a story.  She preferred to be a part of the hair and makeup team.  Anybody need more "yipstick?"
Lily decided to give it a go one more time...
and in the end, they all, once again, lived Happily Ever After.  The End.

A Good Use for Old Socks

Do you have a bunch of old white socks laying around?  Socks that have somehow lost their matches in the dryer?  Don't fear, there is still a good use for them...
SOCK PUPPETS!

Just add some glitter...
and some glue, lots of glue...

Then give your sock some eyes...
using old buttons and glittery butterflies...
Then sit back and watch in amazement as your mommy tries to get creative...

by adding ribbon to the sock to make it look like it has hair (pretty successful, huh!?)...

Check out the sock to make sure you haven't forgotten anything...
and VOILA, you now have a sock puppet.  If you want the puppet to look even more dapper, try adding a hat.  It completes the look...
Kind of scary, isn't it??

Puppet Theatre

Have an old box?  Don't throw it away!

Instead, cut out a door and add a door handle...
Then give some markers to a very creative 4 year old...
Add a window and some curtains...

and finally, add a few stars...

Goodbye ordinary brown box, Hello Puppet Theater...
Next showtime at 3 o'clock

Fun Times

Funderland was the last stop of our very busy, very fun day.  We had already fed the ducks, had a picnic, and ran around Fairytale Town.  Now it was time for some rides...
Fishies first...
Sophia couldn't get enough of the fish, so she rode it two more times after this, hopping from one fish to the next.  In the meantime, Lily rode the big rollercoaster with my mom.  Sophia was VERY upset that she couldn't go on the ride, so we found the cars that the girls could drive...
What a FUN way to end a very FUN day!!

The Cheese Stands Alone

AH, Fairytale Town!  A place I remember visiting when I was little and now a place where I bring my girls to run around and let off some energy after a lovely picnic....

I don't think many things have changed since I was a kid.  They still have the "Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe" slide...

It's the first slide they go on as soon as we walk through the park gates...

Usually after going on the slide, we walk the "Crookedest Mile".  Lily goes whizzing around this curvy walkway.  Sophia also tries to whizz along on this 10 inch wide by 10 inch tall path, but this time her whizzing got the best of her and she went flying off the path, luckily into a patch of ivy.

Once we all got our bearings back, it was time for pictures in the big cheese...

Lily wanted to take a picture in the cheese just like the one her cousin, Ally, took the last time we were here...

Once again, Sophia wanted to do the same...

Jack and the Beanstalk became the next point of interest...

Down the Rabbit Hole...
where the girls had SO much fun that we had to say, "Okay, last time" about twenty different times...

Enough fun for one day??  No way!  We still had one more stop!  FUNDERLAND!!
