The Patch

With one week left before Halloween, pumpkin picking was a must.   Pumpkins were on the Wren family's agenda as well, so we braved the patch together...

We were getting set to take a fun hayride to find the best pumpkins, but Sophia was mad to be pried away from Tyler...

Once there, the girls found the pumpkins they liked best.  Lily's was a little too big and heavy for her...

Sophia found one just her size...

Our expert pumpkin carver had to pick a couple of his own so that he could create his masterpieces...

Muddy tractor rides came next...

(Cup)cake Decorators

After frosting a few dozen cupcakes, I left a few for the girls to frost and decorate on their own...

Lily is truly her mother's daughter and began eating mouthfuls of frosting straight from the can (my preferred method of eating it as well)...

 Sophia took her work very seriously and was not sidetracked by the early consumption of frosting...

 One more lick for good measure...

 Add a few sprinkles...

 and eat...

And that is the true art of cupcake decorating.
