A Hunting We Will Go

Today was the Fourth Annual neighborhood egg hunt.
For us, it was our first...

While waiting for all of the kids to arrive, there were a lot of fun family games to play.

I quickly determined that Sophia was a natural at this game...

Let me tell you, it's all in the hips.
To quote a famous Shakira song, "These hips don't lie"...

Lily had a go at it, and like her mommy, wasn't very successful...

We'll just have to get another lesson from the master...

When the excitement could no longer be contained...

We were sent off to hunt the eggs...

The girls searched high...

and low...

Lily found this special Hello Kitty egg.

Sophia tried to negotiate with Lily so she could have it.

For once, Lily didn't cave...

The kids formed a circle and looked at their loot...

For Lily, holding on to that Hello Kitty egg paid off.

There were only six of them total and each designated a special award...

Maddie was too young to hunt eggs, but not too young to meet this fuzzy character...

Lily took one look at this bunny and decided that she would not be partaking in the cute little bunny picture.
With fear in her eyes, she looked at the bunny and then at me and stated very seriously,
"There is someone in there."

Thankfully she was willing to take a picture with her sisters, sans bunny...

And I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
