Christmas at Grandma and Papa's

Post presents and breakfast, we packed up some of our newest toys and trekked to Grandma and Papa's.

Maddie's most favorite gift came when she got into the car.

After a year of riding backwards, she was finally able to see what everyone else was seeing...

This wasn't just a gift for her, but also for the rest of the family.

If you had ever ridden in a car with her, you would then know just how horrible a 5 minute trip could be.

Lily and Sophia had to show off some of their sassiest gifts.

It was a most wonderful day spent with our little family.

Christmas Morning

It only took 364 days to get here, but it came nonetheless.

Christmas morning...

Just like we do every Christmas morning, the girls first made the discoveries of what their stockings held.
Maddie had no interest in her stocking.
She chose to get acquainted with one of her new toys.
Her cozy coupe...

This is where she stayed from the moment she laid eyes on it...

All the while, Lily and Sophia continued opening presents from the big guy...

Maddie refused to leave her car.
So she opened all of her presents from it's cozy confines...

Elf: Day 24

After a very eventful month, tonight is Snowflake's last night with us.

Come morning, she will be sipping cocoa with her other elf friends and reminiscing about how good the Murphy girls had been.

But she couldn't leave without giving each of the girls something special...

It was a letter.
In that letter, Snowflake gave permission and was going to allow the girls to pick her up to say their goodbyes...

After many big hugs and promises of being good girls, we put Snowflake back in the tree and knew in 11 short months, we would see her again.
