Come Skate with Me

We get to celebrate this special little girl today...

On the 30th, she will be 6.

For her party today, we will be skating like Dorothy Hamill around the ice rink.

Yeah right!

Sophia picked a party that her big sister is totally cool with.

I mean totally...

The ice rink is the place and the theme is "Wintry Ice"...

The favors...

As all of the kids arrived, they quickly devoured their pizza and demanded cake.
These kids couldn't wait to get onto the ice...

For many of these kids, today's party was their first experience with ice skating.

We definitely learned some important lessons from this party:

1. If your child is going ice skating, it's not a smart idea to dress him in short sleeves and shorts.

I don't care that we do live in Texas.

2. Many kids will love getting out and falling and others will fall once and be done.

3. A small cut from your own ice skate can lead to A LOT of blood thus causing the child to freak out.

4. Cuts and blood causes children to want to avoid ever going on the ice again, but luckily with a little persuasion, we were able to convince Sophia to get back on the ice.

5. Ice skating parties are a total hit!
