Cookie Time

Santa doesn't expect much.
Except for good boys and girls.
And milk.
And cookies.
We couldn't disappoint, so cookies he would get...
It took us two days to make these cookies...
You could tell that the sugar was beginning to get to them...
The cookies may not have been the prettiest, but they were baked with the most important ingredient…
Sugar!

Elf: Day 23

There's not much more that elves like better than marshmallows.
Except maybe bathing in them...

Gingy's House

Like we do every year, it is time again to decorate the gingerbread house.
This is the first year we have given the girls full creative license to do whatever they want...
They were afraid that it wouldn't turn out very pretty.
But with their hard work, it was quite the gingerbread masterpiece.

Elf: Day 22

Two of Sophia's many gifts were Elsa and Anna from Frozen.
It just so happens that the girls already had a book from the movie.
This book happens to be Snowflakes favorite, so you could just imagine how excited she was to be reading to the two sisters...
By the way, if you haven't seen the movie, it is hands down one of these best Disney movie I have seen (and we have seen a lot).

Come Skate with Me

We get to celebrate this special little girl today...
On the 30th, she will be 6.
For her party today, we will be skating like Dorothy Hamill around the ice rink.
Yeah right!

Sophia picked a party that her big sister is totally cool with.
I mean totally...
The ice rink is the place and the theme is "Wintry Ice"...
The favors...
As all of the kids arrived, they quickly devoured their pizza and demanded cake.
These kids couldn't wait to get onto the ice...
For many of these kids, today's party was their first experience with ice skating.
We definitely learned some important lessons from this party:
1. If your child is going ice skating, it's not a smart idea to dress him in short sleeves and shorts.
I don't care that we do live in Texas.
2. Many kids will love getting out and falling and others will fall once and be done.
3. A small cut from your own ice skate can lead to A LOT of blood thus causing the child to freak out.
4. Cuts and blood causes children to want to avoid ever going on the ice again, but luckily with a little persuasion, we were able to convince Sophia to get back on the ice.
5. Ice skating parties are a total hit!

Elf: Day 21

Too enticed by the homemade chocolates, Snowflake couldn't help herself.
She had to dive right in.
Literally...
The guilt was written all over her face.
In the form of a chocolate mustache.

Elf: Day 20

Snowflake took the penguins the girls put together and made a lovely garland out of them and hung them on their tree..
