The Bus Tour

The grand plan for today was to take a double decker bus tour of the city and then make a stop at the Shedd Aquarium.

The heat and humidity had different plans for us though.

Things started out well.

The tour began and the girls were excited to be riding high on the streets of Chicago...

However, after too long, we were all sweaty messes...

We rode a little while longer hoping to be able to at least make it to the Aquarium...

The girls were hot and getting cranky.
But Sophia perked up when she saw this big "lizard" up close...

We lasted only 30 minutes of what was supposed to be a two hour trip around the city.

The heat and humidity proved to be too much for all of us.

I know we would have been able to seek some relief inside the aquarium, but the girls were so tired, they wouldn't have even enjoyed it.

Our time downtown was done and tomorrow it was back to reality.

As always Chicago was wonderful and beautiful and we can't wait to see you again soon.
