Golfing with My Minis

There is a mini golf course in Roseville, CA that we always pass on the way to Papa and Grandma Owie's house.
It catches the girls attention because there is an enormous princess castle that they can easily spot from the highway.
They have always wanted to see it closer up, so today was our day to do that...
The girls really got into the whole golfing side of it.
They each practiced taking their whacks...
Sophia kind of played by her own set of rules.
Rule #1: If you do not like where the ball is positioned, just pick it up and place it two inches from the cup...
Rule #2: No one else gets their turn until Sophia is finished with hers...
The only rule I had for the girls was to stand back while the person in front of them was hitting their golf ball...
I made sure to "set the example" (as Lily would say) and stand a few steps behind Lily while she swung...
And stand even further back when it was Sophia's turn...
I am not joking when I say that Sophia put her all in it.
We finally had to tell her that she couldn't raise her club above her head during her swing.
She was told to keep it low.
Whatever we said must have worked because she scored a legitimate hole in one on this hole...
We only got through seven holes before the rain started coming down.
Lucky for us there was an indoor arcade...
We must have sat at this game for 30 minutes...
The girls got a kick out of yelling "No Deal."
As we left with our arms full of arcade prizes, Lily leaned over to me and said,
"This was the best day ever."
I couldn't agree more.
