After spending many days swimming in the makeshift pool in my mom's backyard, we took a trip to a bigger body of water, the lake.
The day couldn't have started any better. Upon walking onto the sand, the girls struck gold...
And continued digging hoping to find more...
Sophia slowly eased herself into the water...
Then joined Lily back in the sand...
Lily focused on her sandcastle building...
While I helped Sophia with hers...
Lily found her mermaid tail and kicked her way along through the water...
Sophia thought that land was the best place for her to be...
