Rodeo Gals

Only in Texas do they have a day at school devoted to the rodeo coming to town.
Uniform dress is required at the school, but on this special day, the kids can leave the uniform at home and wear their best rodeo gear.
There are two rules:
1: No spurs
2: If you wear chaps, there must be pants underneath

The rodeo spirit was in full force at the Murphy house...
My absolutely most favorite picture of these three to date...
Even with the girls at school, the spirit of the rodeo lived on...
Yee haw and giddy up!

Arti Gras

At school, each year each grade level gets a special event for the kids and their parents.
Tonight, Lily's class celebrated Arti Gras...
This was Lily's artwork for the event...
This was a great event for these second graders.
The girls had a blast!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

"Let's go fly a kite"...
"Up to it's highest height"...
"Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring."

Today was a perfectly windy day.
Perfect weather to go fly a kite.

Shockingly Fun Entertainment

Maddie found a new "toy" to keep her occupied...
Seriously, she loves playing with these things...
I just hope she doesn't get toxic shock...

8 is Great

She's 8 today.
My oldest girl turns another year older and wanted to have her friends and their dolls there to celebrate with her...
A party at the American Girl store was the ideal spot for my all American Girl...
This party was for girl's only...
The girls chatted about boys (lord help me) and sang Frozen songs.
But they mostly were laughing and giggling...
and eating...
With tummies full, Lily took on the task of opening her presents.
Her friends really outdid themselves.
There were some really spectacular gifts...
A song for my girl...
Followed by an 8 year old's wish...
Turning eight really has never been this great.
Happy Birthday Lilster!
Mommy and Daddy love you so much!
