Lots And Lots Of Leaves

Thanksgiving had passed and now it was time to get the Christmas decor set up outside. I wasn't sure what I would do to keep the girls distracted while we decorated. Lucky for me, they quickly found something to stay busy with...

LEAVES! Lots and lots of leaves...

They threw them...

They inspected them...

very thoroughly...

They jumped in them...

and they loved every minute of it!

For once, I was very grateful to the big trees in my yard that shed their leaves, lots and lots of them!

Happy Thanksgiving

It was just the four of us for Thanksgiving this year. Needless to say, things around here were very relaxed.

Lily sat at the table and made a turkey out of an apple...

while Joe helped me get dinner ready...

Sophia snacked...

and then got excited when Joe helped her make her own turkey apple...

We ate our wonderful Thanksgiving feast and then the Tryptophan kicked in...

Alas, it was finally time for the pumpkin pie...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Be Thankful For The Little Things

Every year I am so grateful to have so many things to be THANKFUL for:
Like GOOD FRIENDS
A GREAT FAMILY
and a WONDERFUL HUSBAND
But this year, I am most THANKFUL for the LITTLE things.
Like their LITTLE hands that hold mine tight...
Their LITTLE arms that hold me close...
Their LITTLE mouths that give me kisses...
and their LITTLE voices that tell me "I LOVE YOU!"
Today, and always, these LITTLE girls are by far my BIGGEST blessing!

Unbe"leaf"able

Today started out innocently enough when my mom suggested to the girls that they should go outside and help rake the leaves. That's right, child labor at it's best (just kidding mom), but I think she only intended on getting them outside in the fresh air...

Sophia worked hard filling up her baby doll's bathtub...

Lily got her leaves piled up nicely...

Then they did what any three and one year old would do...

and threw the leaves everywhere...

with a little help from Tam-Tam...

My mom was right! Getting outside and "raking" the leaves was a perfect idea!
