Hall of Fame

Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, I was inducted into the Hall of Fame. That's right, I am officially a Hall of Famer at Cosumnes River College. The softball team I played for my freshman year of college is the first team to ever be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame. It was quite an honor and the reason for my California visit.
Tonight we reconnected with friends from the past...
Fellow teammates...
Former coaches...
Even my family was there to celebrate this accomplishment with me...
and happily posed for pictures so that I could remember this night...
Some of us posed more than others...
Now it's apparent why Lily is such a ham with the camera. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
Finally, it was our turn to be inducted...
I waited for my name to be announced...
Then I joined my teammates to receive our awards...
1997 was a great year for the Cosumnes River Chiefs. We had a record of 50-12 and were the first team to EVER (and still the only one) to go to the State tournament. We placed fifth out of the 100+ softball teams. And this was all done with only 11 players. Great job girls! This honor was well deserved. We worked hard for it and now nobody can take that away. We are among the best. Welcome to the Hall of Fame!
