It's Labor Day and There's No Time for Work

It's Labor Day.
So how do you celebrate?
With a day off, of course!

The girls were out of school today and so were their friends.
I even think that Mother Nature was taking a day off from giving us scalding heat and humidity.
The day was just a tiny glimpse of what I hope this fall will be like.

A 78 degree day meant that it was much too nice to be indoors.
So we gathered up our friends, had a picnic and played for hours at the park...

Kennedy had the only mishap of the day, a splinter in her finger.
But her daddy got it out and all was okay again...
Sophia experienced everything this splendid park had to offer...
Although I felt like I was intruding a little, I couldn't help but capture this father-son moment between Toby and Colson...
Giovanni and Ethan also shared some father-son time...
Couldn't you just eat him up??
This tree acted as a gathering spot for a great hideout and camping spot where imaginary campfires were made to roast imaginary s'mores...
When the day was all done, the kiddos walked to their cars...
Hand in hand.
