This year, the Little Rock School of Dance picked a few acts from the Christmas recital to perform for the local nursing home. Lily and Sophia's dance was one of the acts chosen...
I was looking forward to seeing the girls perform again and put smiles on the faces of these older men and women. Lily picked right up where she left off and began singing and dancing away...
Sophia was not at all excited to be out on the stage performing again and you could read it all over her face...
Lily spotted me immediately and spent more time looking at me than dancing...
Sophia insisted on being stubborn...
and wouldn't budge even a single inch...
I am pretty proud of her though because she made it through the entire dance without crying (or dancing) and saved the tears for the very end...
The older girls were proud with how they danced...
Olive and Lily were definitely some of the "Happiest Christmas Trees" tonight...
while Sophia was by far the unhappiest Christmas tree of the bunch...
Oh well, there's always next year!
