Top O' the Mornin' to You

With a last name like Murphy, you would have to assume that St. Patrick's day is a pretty important one in our house.  It's the one day the girls get to wear their kilts that were brought to them from Ireland.  It's also the day that Joe walks around everywhere singing "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" in his best Irish accent.

St. Patrick's day also brings to light the many Irish blessings, some of which I would like to share with you...

"There are good ships, and there are wood ships, the ships that sail the sea.
But the best ships are friendships, and may they always be.

"May your home always be too small to hold all your friends."

"May the saddest the day of your future be no worse
Than the happiest day of your past."
"

"May your neighbors respect you,
Troubles neglect you,
The angels protect you,
and Heaven accept you."

"May the love and protection St. patrick can give-
Be yours in abundance as long as you live."

"May you have warm words on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night, and the road downhill all the way to your door."

"May your blessings out number the shamrocks that grow.
And may trouble avoid you wherever you go."

"May you always walk in sunshine.
May you never want for more.
May Irish angels rest their wings
Right beside your door."

"May you live a long life
Full of gladness and health,
With a pocket full of gold
As the least of your wealth.
May the dreams you hold dearest
Be those which come true,
The kindness you spread,
Keep returning to you."

Happy St. Patricks Day!!
