Illinois may not be known for it's pools, but it certainly knows shopping.
While Joe was back in Arkansas for the weekend and with my dad venturing to the South side to watch a White Sox game, shopping was the ideal form of entertainment for us girls...

It was too beautiful a day to spend time inside, so we mixed things up a bit and went to Oak Brook, an outdoor mall...

Aside from the shopping, Oak Brook also had these fantastically painted pieces of art...

Shopping is always fun, but discovering these little jewels in every nook and cranny made for a delightful adventure as well.
