Back to School Night

After waiting many weeks, tonight we get to go to the girl's school and meet their teachers and see who is in their class.
Lily and Sophia wanted to get dressed up for this special occasion...
Once we got to the school, I had to stand in multiple lines, write multiple checks all while trying to wrangle in the girls.
Not an easy task.
With all of the pressing matters out of the way, it was time to relax with friends for a "Hot Dog Party"...
Then the long awaited moment arrived.
Classroom assignments...
We were already aware of who Sophia's teacher would be because there was only one PreK three year old class.
Lily had the opportunity to be in two different classes.
Both teachers were new to the Kindergarten program, so I didn't have an opinion either way.
Lily was ecstatic to have a lot of her closer friends in her class again.
I was ecstatic about the little number on the bottom of the page...
Eleven.
In Lily's Kindergarten class, there were only 11 kids.
Most public school have double that number.
Seeing this makes me even more pleased with the choice I made.

We stopped by Lily's class first to drop off her supplies...
While Lily hung out with Lyla in the kindergarten room, Sophia and I located her classroom and her name...
We found the table she would be sitting at...
And then Sophia discovered each individual toy...
Getting Sophia to leave was difficult.
Only after promises of being at school next week (and dessert) did she finally decide to leave.
Tonight was a success and now both of my girls are excited for that first day of school.
