Girls Night In

With Joe out of town the past week, the girls and I have had a lot of bonding time and last night was no exception. It was our final night without daddy and so I decided to pamper and spoil the girls a little bit. After all, the deserve it!
First up, bathtime! They soaked and played until the water got cold and then they were ready to be treated to their...

PEDICURES! Every special girl's day requires a little pampering of those tired tootsies.
Lily chose a red because she wanted it to match her Dorothy shoes (I love a three year old that can coordinate.) Sophia went with the green polish and I was thankful it was just a green sheen because not many 19-month olds can sit and wait for the polish to dry.
Next up...a good bedtime story. Lily is currently hooked on the "If You Give A.." books. Last night, she wanted to read "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and "If You Take a Mouse to School." Story reading is something we do every night and just like every other night, Sophia has ZERO interest in the books (notice how she is trying to get away)

Lily had to say Goodnight to her daddy

We then settled in to watch Disney's "The Rescuers"

This is how the night ended. My two precious girls fell asleep holding hands.
We must have Girls Night In more often!
Dear sweet babies, how I love you!
